Ablation and Resurfacing of
the Skin
Sublative RF
Realistic Expectations:

Skin aging is characterized by various textural skin deformities. Sublative RF is designed for wrinkle treatment and use in
dermatological procedures requiring ablation and resurfacing of the skin. Shortly after the treatment there is moderate
skin erythema and edema of the treated zone. The erythema and edema usually subside within 12-24 hours.
During the healing phase, small pin-point crusts appear in place of each ablated spot where the electrode pins contacted
the skin. These crusts will exfoliate naturally after a few days. The degree of improvement and the number of sessions
required are individual and will vary according to the degree of severity of the skin's condition and
treatment parameters, as well as other factors. Results appear gradually: immediate transient improvement can be noticed
after each treatment; however maximum long-term effect is usually notable 2-4 months after treatment conclusion.

Contraindications:

  • Pacemaker or internal defibrillator, or any other active electrical implant anywhere in the body.
  • Permanent implant in the treated area such as metal plates and screws or an injected chemical substance.
  • Current or history of skin cancer, or current condition of any other type of cancer, or pre-malignant moles.
  • History of any kind of cancer.
  • Severe concurrent conditions, such as cardiac disorders.
  • Pregnancy and nursing.
  • Impaired immune system due to immunosuppressive diseases such as AIDS and HIV,or use of immunosuppressive medications.
  • Patients with history of diseases stimulated by heat, such as recurrent Herpes Simplex in the treatment area, may be treated
      only following a prophylactic regime.
  • Poorly controlled endocrine disorders, such as diabetes.
  • Any active condition in the treatment area, such as sores, psoriasis, eczema, and rash.
  • History of skin disorders, keloids, abnormal wound healing, as well as very dry and fragile skin.
  • History of bleeding coagulopathies, or use of anticoagulants with the exception of preventive low dose aspirin medication.
  • Face lift or eyelid surgery (if periorbital treatment is performed) within three months prior to treatment. If the patient exhibits
signs of delayed healing response, then a minimum of six months should pass before Sublative RF treatment.
  • Facial dermabrasion, facial resurfacing, or deep chemical peeling within the last three months, if face is treated. If the patient
exhibits signs of delayed healing response, then a minimum of six months should pass before Sublative RF treatment.
  • Botox /collagen/fat injections or other methods of augmentation with injected bio-material in the treated area within
      two weeks prior to treatment.
  • Use of Isotretinoin (Accutane) within 6 months prior to treatment.
  • Any surgical procedure in the treatment area within the last three months or before complete healing. If the patient exhibits
signs of delayed healing response, then a minimum of six months should pass before Sublative RF treatment.

Acne Scars
Sublative is the only technology proven to reduce moderate
to severe acne scars for all skin types. The Sublative™ RF
applicator is designed to deliver radiofrequency energy to
the skin in a fractional manner, via an array of multi-electrode
pins. The array delivers bipolar RF energy to the skin.
Microscopic zones of epidermis and dermis are thermally
ablated in a grid over the skin surface, where non-ablated
zones serve as a reservoir of cells that promote rapid healing.
Sublative Mechanism of Action
The Sublative RF applicator is designed to deliver radiofrequency energy to
the skin in a fractional manner, via an array of multi-electrode pins. The array
delivers bi-polar RF energy to the skin.
